SERAS
SERAS develops awareness, values, purpose, knowledge, and the capacity to act. Its defined pathways connect reflection and personal development with academic, technical, vocational, and occupational preparation.
ACVIS
ACVIS organizes learning from the competency objective and the participant's starting point. It connects practice, educational quality and evidence with assessment and reviewable conclusions about what was demonstrated.
ACVIS supports the SERAS vision within an open framework for learning and validation.
Its learning options include personal pathways designed with AI assistance, predefined ACVIS offerings such as SERAS and other programs, and programs offered by institutions and organizations. ACVIS also supports sufficiency assessment of competencies learned in other environments, without first completing a SERAS or other ACVIS learning pathway.
System structure
The SERAS learning model is organized into three progressive and complementary phases. ACVIS enters at the outset and remains active throughout this journey. These phases describe the SERAS pathway; they are not prerequisites for every ACVIS validation.
Phase 1
Clarifies objectives, diagnoses initial conditions, establishes responsibilities and criteria, structures the pathway, and defines evidence and validation conditions.
Phase 2
Develops ethical and emotional foundations, critical awareness, autonomy, communication, responsibility, and personal purpose.
Phase 3
Turns human development into practical capacity to study, work, produce, demonstrate performance, and act responsibly.
ACVIS is cross-cutting.
ACVIS establishes objectives and criteria in Phase 1 and remains active during Phases 2 and 3. Participant needs, clear responsibilities, evidence and continuous improvement guide the process throughout.
Defined SERAS learning pathways
The SERAS conceptual framework defines curated pathways with their own identity, sequence, and objectives. They can be adapted to participant circumstances while retaining their intended purpose.
Preparation to understand productive environments, develop work habits, acquire foundational technical capabilities, and build a responsible relationship with industrial activity.
Preparation to learn a trade, organize productive activity, solve concrete needs, and build economic autonomy responsibly.
Academic, personal, and methodological preparation to undertake higher education with greater autonomy, understanding, and organization.

Clarify the objective, prior knowledge, needs, and relevant initial conditions.

Design a personal pathway with AI assistance, or choose a predefined offering from ACVIS, such as SERAS, or from the participant’s institution or organization.

Connect values, awareness, knowledge, practice, and action using appropriate learning sources.

Demonstrate what was learned under defined criteria and use the results for review and improvement.
Current status
SERAS has a defined architecture and is being adapted to ACVIS requirements. Its next stage includes pilots to evaluate outcomes and refine implementation, with indicators, participant feedback and traceable evidence.
